I have tried multiple other forum solutions but none have worked.
- Deskjet 2600 is connected to WiFi.
- I can access in the ios app and the mac app, both say that the printer is not connected to the internet.
- I have restarted router and printer multiple times.
- I have factory reset the printer and reconnected to WiFi.
- I can see the printer IP address as a client in my router with no reported problems.
- My Instant Ink Subscription is up to date.
What else can I try?

Hi @bennr,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Verify Network Connection:
- Ensure that the printer is connected to the correct WiFi network. It should match the network your iOS app and Mac app are accessing.
Check Router Settings:
- Ensure your router has no firewall settings that might block the printer’s internet access.
- Disable any MAC address filtering that might restrict your printer’s ability to connect to the internet.
Static IP Configuration:
- Change your printer’s IP address settings to a static IP in your router’s range to avoid IP address conflicts. This can be done from the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- Access EWS by typing the printer’s IP address into a web browser.
- Navigate to “Network” or “IP Settings,” select “Manual” or “Static,” and enter a valid IP address, subnet mask, and gateway.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page, locate your printer model, and download the latest firmware.
Check Instant Ink Connection:
- Ensure the printer’s connection to HP services is not blocked. Confirm that you are signed in to your HP account and recheck your Instant Ink status from the HP Smart app.
Mobile Device and Bluetooth Settings:
- Verify that Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device, as it might assist in detecting the printer properly.
Reset Network Settings:
- If issues persist, reset the network settings on your printer again and go through the setup process freshly:
- On the printer’s control panel, perform a network reset by pressing the Wireless and Cancel buttons until the Power light flashes.
I hope this helps.
