Hi @Desktop2541,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP printer is having trouble connecting to a different Wi-Fi network and is showing an incorrect password error, here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue.
- Verify Wi-Fi Password: Double-check the Wi-Fi password for the network you're trying to connect to. Make sure you're entering it correctly, including any capitalization and special characters.
- Restart Devices: Restart your printer, router, and any devices you're using to set up the connection. This can help clear any temporary issues that might be affecting the connection.
- Update Printer Firmware: Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. Manufacturers often release updates that can fix connectivity issues. You can usually check for updates through the printer’s control panel or the HP support website.
- Reset Network Settings on Printer: Reset the network settings on your printer to clear any saved configurations that might be causing issues. This option is often available in the printer’s settings menu.
- Reconfigure Wi-Fi Settings: Use the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network. Follow the setup instructions carefully to ensure all settings are entered correctly.
- Check Network Configuration: Ensure that your router is set up correctly and that other devices can connect to the network. You might also want to check if your router has any settings that could be blocking the printer.
- Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup): If your router supports WPS, you can use this feature to connect your printer to the network without needing to enter a password manually. Look for the WPS button on your router and follow the instructions for your printer to use this feature.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
