HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer

I have done all the protocols of trying to connect my printer to my network. Nothing has worked. The printer worked once in the midst of it all and stopped again.  Any help?

Hi @Tmt123-_,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand that you're experiencing difficulties with connecting your HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer to your network. Connectivity issues can be frustrating, but there are several troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve them. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot and hopefully fix the problem.

  1. Check Network Connection:

    • Make sure your printer is within the range of your Wi-Fi network and that the network is working properly.
  2. Restart Your Printer:

    • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few seconds and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  3. Check Wireless Settings on the Printer:

    • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Wireless or Network settings and ensure that it's set to your correct Wi-Fi network. You may need to re-enter your Wi-Fi network password.
  4. Restart Your Router:

    • Sometimes, issues can be resolved by restarting your wireless router. Unplug the router, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Allow the router to fully restart before trying to connect the printer again.
  5. Update Printer Firmware:

    • Visit HP's website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. If there are, download and install them, as these updates may include fixes for connectivity issues.
  6. Printer Software Reinstallation:

    • Uninstall the printer software from your computer and then reinstall it. Make sure you're using the latest software and drivers provided by HP for your printer model.
  7. Use HP Smart App:

    • HP Smart is an app that can help you set up and manage your printer. You can try using this app to configure the printer's wireless settings.
  8. Check Firewall and Security Software:

    • Ensure that your computer's firewall or security software isn't blocking the printer's communication. You may need to temporarily disable it for testing purposes.
  9. Factory Reset:

    • As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your printer. This will reset all settings to their defaults, so you'll need to set it up again from scratch. Instructions for a factory reset can usually be found in your printer's manual.

Remember to keep your network name (SSID) and password handy as you may need them during the troubleshooting process. Additionally, make sure that your printer and computer are on the same network.

Finally, note that the specific steps might vary slightly based on your operating system and the exact configuration of your network and printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
