Hi
I have an HP Envy 6022e printer connected to my PC with wifi.
HP Smart is saying printer is offline.
I have followed usual advice to turn off printer, reboot router and restart PC but printer is still not printing.
The blue wifi light on the printer is flashing but will not go solid.
How do I get printer back online.
Advice appreciated.
Thank you.

Thank you for your response.
It looks like a hardware issue; the technician has to visit and check for the cable connection.
May I know if you are referring to deleting the JS29 account?

Hi @Anonymous,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I hear that the blue Wi‑Fi light is flashing; the printer is not connected to the network. To get it back online, try these HP steps:
Check the printer connection status:
- Make sure the printer wireless signal is on and that the printer is connected to the same Wi‑Fi network as your PC.
- A flashing wireless light indicates the printer is disconnected from the network.
Reconnect the printer to Wi‑Fi:
- For printers without a touchscreen, press and hold the Wireless button for 5 seconds until the wireless light starts flashing.
- Within 2 minutes, press and hold the WPS button on the router until the connection starts.
- The wireless light should stop flashing when the connection is complete.
If setup still fails, restore Wi‑Fi setup mode and set up again:
- HP recommends restoring Wi‑Fi setup mode and then running setup again with the HP app / HP Smart.
Move the printer closer to the router:
- Poor signal can prevent the printer from reconnecting.
Wake the printer if needed:
- If the printer is in sleep mode, press the Power button or interact with the control panel so it is ready.
Use HP app / HP Smart to re-add the printer:
- HP app can help detect the printer again and reconnect it to the wireless network.
Print a wireless/network test report if available:
- HP recommends using the printer’s wireless test/report options to diagnose why it is not joining the network.
If the printer shows Offline in Windows after reconnecting:
- Open Printers in Windows
- Right-click your HP printer
- If available, select Use Printer Online
- If it is paused, select Resume Printing
I hope this will help.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi Jerry
I have tried what you suggested as best I can but printer still not working although blue light flashing and showing connected to wi-fi. Also my headphones are not working now when I plug in their jack to my PC. Tried them on my separate stereo system and they work.
Have to admit defeat and have now arranged for a technician to come to check out my printer & PC systems tomorrow.

Hi Jerry
The technician I got fixed the printer issue. It seemed it was because my printer is on wi-fi but my PC is connected to my router by a TP link unit and ethernet cable on a different network and could not talk to the printer. This probably happened because HP Smart updated software on the printer but other than that I don't really know why the printer did not work.
Only problem I have now is that my headphones don't work when I plug the wired jack into my PC. I checked the headphones on a separate stereo system and they work. Have contacted the technician again and waiting on his response.
