Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer spooling issue!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e printer is stuck in the spooling or verifying mode, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Restart the Printer and Computer:

  • Turn off the printer and your computer.
  • Wait a few minutes before turning them back on.
  • Check if the issue persists after rebooting both devices.

Cancel Pending Print Jobs:

  • Open the print queue from the printer icon in the taskbar.
  • Cancel any pending print jobs that might be causing the spooling issue.
  • Try printing a test page to see if the issue is resolved.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Download the latest printer drivers from the HP support page.
  • Uninstall the current printer drivers and then install the new ones.
  • Follow the installation instructions and check if the issue is resolved.

Check Network and USB Connections:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your computer either via USB or network.
  • Verify that cables are securely connected and the network settings are correct.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there's any firmware update available for your printer model on the HP website.
  • Apply updates to ensure optimum performance and compatibility.

Clear Printer Spooler:

  • Open 'Services' on your computer.
  • Find 'Print Spooler' and right-click to stop the service.
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and delete all files in this folder.
  • Restart the spooler service and check if printing resumes.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
