HP Envy 6055e all in one will not print. Running on MacStudio M1 on OS 15.3.1.
Printer report says
But it still will not print. We have followed every available procedure, including advice from Apple. They wanted to try an Ethernet connection directly to the router/ not possible at the moment.
Trying to conduct a "factor reset," but instructions are all for Windows. I am on a Mac Studio M1 running Sequoia 1.5.3.
At a loss.
Help?
Thanks
Rob

@robinmonk, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer not printing!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It looks like your HP Envy 6055e is connected to Wi-Fi but still not printing. Since you've tried multiple troubleshooting steps, here are some additional things to check:
Check Printer Status on Mac
- Open System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your printer and check its status.
- If the printer is paused, click Resume.
- Try removing and re-adding the printer.
Reset the Printing System
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click (or Control-click) in the list of printers.
- Choose Reset Printing System.
- Restart your Mac and re-add the printer.
Check for Pending Print Jobs
- Open the Print Queue.
- Cancel any stuck print jobs and try printing again.
Try Printing a Test Page
- Press and hold the Information button (🛈) until a test page prints.
Factory Reset on HP Envy 6055e
Since most reset guides are for Windows, try this method (it should work for macOS too):
- Turn the printer off.
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi and Cancel (X) buttons.
- While holding, turn the printer on.
- Continue holding until the Power light blinks.
- Release the buttons and wait for the printer to reset.
After the reset, reconnect it to Wi-Fi and try printing again.
Check HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart App on your Mac.
- Check for any errors or firmware updates.
Let me know if this helps or if you need further steps! 😊
Take care, and have an amazing day!
