Laserjet mfp234sdwe will not connect to wireless network. Wireless network test report shows:
Wireless On: Pass
Wireless Working: Pass
SSID Found: Pass
Security: Pass
Printer settings consistent with wireless router settings: Pass
No Filtering: Pass
Connected: Fail
Troubleshooting: No problems found, congratulations on successfully setting up your HP wireless printer.
Except the blue light keeps blinking and it won't connect to the internet. This printer has been difficult to manage since Day 1. Router has been replaced due to a different issue, but this issue was present prior to that. Printer has been rebooted several times, I have run the wireless setup steps multiple times, it never connects to the network to allow me to do anything with it, blue light just keeps blinking, along with the information light (white) and the status light (amber).

Hi @weoclo1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.
I see that you are facing an issue with connecting your Printer to the network.
A) Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain.
1) Take out the cartridges
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges
B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and let me know if that resolves the issue.
C) Please follow the steps below to connect your printer to the network again as the router or service provider was changed.
1) Uninstall the HP smart app by click on this link, Restart the computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions.
2) Enable Wi-Fi setup mode: When you turn on your printer for the first time, it is temporarily placed in Wi-Fi setup mode so that it can be discovered during setup. Use the printer control panel to restore Wi-Fi setup mode, and then set up the printer again. Go to Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer for more information.
3) Refer to this link to use the HP smart app on your phone/tablet/PC to add a printer.
Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.

Thank you for your help... we're making progress.
A) These steps did not resolve my issue, blue WiFi light continues to blink
B) Can't update firmware on this printer without a network connection
C) I used my iPhone to connect via Bluetooth, which enabled the printer to connect to my WiFi network. However, the status light continues to blink (amber) and the information light is also blinking (white).
I am unable to check the status of the toner cartridge (it's just a dotted red line around the "supply level"), but the printer reports print just fine. I will continue to troubleshoot, but it's solidly connected to WiFi now (even after 2 reboots, it connected automatically), so that part is resolved. Thank you.
