Hi @NARESH34,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Wi-Fi Direct might be turned off, a security confirmation is required before printing, or the connection is weak or in an error state. Check the following settings:
- Confirm the Wi-Fi Direct feature is on and ready to receive print jobs.
- Printers with a control panel menu: Touch the Wi-Fi Direct icon. If Wi-Fi Direct is off, touch the Settings icon, and then turn it on.
- Printers without a control panel menu: Open the Advanced Settings (EWS) in the HP Smart app or type the printer IP address into an internet address bar. From the EWS, click Network > Wi-Fi Direct > Status. If Wi-Fi Direct is off, click Edit Settings, select On next to Status, and then click Apply.
- Check the printer control panel for a Wi-Fi Direct confirmation or password prompt that might be required before processing the print job.
- Change the Wi-Fi Direct printer name to make it easier to identify in a list of available devices. Open the Advanced Settings (EWS) in the HP Smart app or type the printer IP address into an internet address bar. From the EWS, click Network > Wi-Fi Direct > Status > Edit Settings. Change the Wi-Fi Direct Name to something you can recognize easily but is not personally identifiable to protect your privacy, and then click Apply.
- Move the printer and computer or mobile device closer together to improve the signal strength.
- Restart the printer and computer or mobile device to clear possible error conditions.
- Disconnect the Ethernet or USB cable. These connection types might interfere with the Wi-Fi Direct connection.
- Restore Wi-Fi setup mode.
- Most printers with a touchscreen display or menu: Open the Wireless or Setup menu, select Network setup or Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings.
- Printers without a touchscreen display or menu: Go to Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on your HP printer to restore default settings by pressing the buttons on your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
