Unable to send docs to the printer - rebooted printer, computer, router - no change. My husband can print wirelessly to the printer from his computer. Using one diagnostic I was able to successfully print a test page.

@Madrid52, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Since your husband can print wirelessly from his computer and you were able to print a test page using diagnostics, the issue seems isolated to your HP Pavilion Plus laptop's communication with the printer. Here are some steps to troubleshoot further:
1. Check Printer Status on Your Laptop
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select your printer and click Manage.
- Make sure it’s set as default and not showing as offline or paused.
2. Remove and Re-add the Printer
- In the same Printers & scanners menu, remove the printer.
- Click Add a printer or scanner and let Windows detect it again.
- If it doesn’t show up, click “The printer that I want isn’t listed” and try adding it via IP address.
3. Check Windows Print Spooler
- Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
- Scroll to Print Spooler, right-click, and choose Restart.
- If it’s not running, start it.
4. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download from HP official site: Official HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows | Free Download hppsdr.exe
- This tool can automatically detect and fix many common printing issues.
5. Firewall or Antivirus Blocking
- Temporarily disable any third-party antivirus or firewall software and try printing again.
- If it works, you may need to whitelist the printer or related services.
6. Driver Update
- Go to HP support page and enter your laptop and printer model.
- Make sure your printer drivers and laptop’s Wi-Fi drivers are up to date.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
