HP DeskJet 2710e All-in-One Printer

My router feet broke so was sent replacement from the provider that was the exact same but with a different network name and password but it will not now connect to  the printer following HP instructions for WPS connection. Please someone help.

If you're having trouble connecting your HP DeskJet 2710e All-In-One Printer to the new router after the replacement, you can try the following steps:

  1. Restart the Printer and Router:
    • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
    • Restart your router by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
    • Wait for the router to fully restart, and then plug in and turn on your printer.
  2. WPS Connection:
    • Make sure your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup).
    • On your printer, locate the WPS button. It is usually on the rear panel or the front panel.
    • Press the WPS button on your printer. The WPS light should start blinking.
    • Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router.
  3. Wi-Fi Setup Using HP Smart App:
    • Download and install the HP Smart app on your smartphone or tablet.
    • Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your printer on the new Wi-Fi network.
  4. Manual Wi-Fi Setup:
    • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Wireless or Network settings.
    • Choose your new Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the new password.
  5. Reset Printer Network Settings:
    • Reset the network settings on your printer to default and then set it up again with the new Wi-Fi information.
    • Refer to the printer's user manual for instructions on resetting network settings.
  6. Check Network Settings:
    • Make sure your new Wi-Fi network is operational and that the password is correct.
    • Verify that the printer is within the range of the Wi-Fi signal.
  7. Firmware Update:
    • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware might resolve compatibility issues.
