Hi
A few years a go I purchased a deskjet 2723 printer and connected it to the WiFi.
I have recently changed router, wifi name and password. Since then the printer does not connect to the WiFi.
I did a wifi reset by holding the cancel and WiFi button at the same time. After completing the reset, I have launched the HP set up app and clicked set up a new printer. I followed the on screen instructions.
The printer is indeed recognised by the App.. I am then prompted to press the information button. However when I get to the following page which says acquiring IP address, I get an error message saying that the connection is taking too long and that I should retry. I have obviously tried on numerous occasions.
How can I fix this?
Thank you

The WPS or pushbutton setup may be easier and does not use a smartphone. See page 22

Unless I am mistaken, this printer only uses the 2.4ghz band. If you try to connect wireless to the printer your device needs to be in the 2.4ghz band, not the 5ghz.
You can avoid this problem by using the pushbutton modem type connection "wps"
Let me know if still a problem. If you have a flex system (multiple wifi boosters) then a different solution is required.
