This printer has always had intermittent wifi connection problems--I would unplug, reboot the printer, and it often restored the wifi link. Now it just won't connect. I brought the printer to an ideal location where I know I have strong wifi signal- same problem.
In troubleshooting, if connected to the network via ethernet, it works fine. But wifi will not connect. Period.
Is it possible that the wifi radio is dead? It shows a fraction of a single signal bar on the printer operating screen. But it is not grabbing the wifi network, if you ask the panel it will say it is connected to our wifi network; a diagnostic report shows no wifi connection.
Since the wifi has been iffy from the outset, is there any fix or should I simply buy another printer? I know that one obvious answer is just to hard wire using ethernet, but we don't have cable in that part of the house. Putting the printer in my bedroom where the router is and hard wiring it is not an ideal solution.
TIA

Thanks, I talked with HP support by phone and after running some tests we concluded that the wifi card was no longer working. Appreciate your response.
BTW, I did receive a message from a spammer which almost got me-- and it was removed by the board admin without my reporting.
