Hi @KMCNCR41,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To connect your HP LaserJet Pro M15w printer to a new WiFi network and resolve the issue with the password, you can follow these steps.
Reset the Printer Network Settings:
- First, ensure your printer is powered on.
- Press and hold the "Cancel" button (or "Wireless" button) for about 5 seconds. This should initiate a network settings reset on the printer.
- The wireless light on the printer will start blinking, indicating that the printer is ready to connect to a new network.
Connect via Wi-Fi Direct (Optional):
- If you are having trouble connecting via the regular WiFi network, you can use Wi-Fi Direct as an alternative.
- On your phone or computer, look for available Wi-Fi networks and connect to the one named similarly to "DIRECT-**-HP LaserJet Pro M15w".
- Once connected, open a web browser and type in 192.168.223.1 to access the printer's embedded web server.
- From there, you can set up the printer for your new WiFi network under the "Network" or "Wireless" settings.
Set Up with HP Smart App (Recommended):
- Download and install the HP Smart app on your smartphone or tablet from the app store (iOS or Android).
- Open the app and follow the instructions to add your printer. The app will guide you through connecting the printer to your WiFi network.
Use WPS Push Button (If available):
- If your WiFi router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), you can use this method to connect your printer quickly.
- Press the WPS button on your WiFi router and then quickly press the Wireless button on your printer within 2 minutes.

Factory Reset (Last Resort):
- If none of the above methods work, you can perform a factory reset on the printer. This will erase all settings including WiFi settings and restore the printer to its original state.
- To perform a factory reset, press and hold the "Resume" button (or "Cancel" button) for about 20 seconds until the Attention light blinks. Release the button to initiate the reset.
After resetting and setting up your printer with the new WiFi network, you should be able to connect to it using your phone or any other device. Make sure to follow the setup instructions carefully from the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel to avoid any further issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
