I have tried the restarting method and it works all the way up to when I double press the information and cancel. Then nothing happens. No double zeros. No connecting WiFi. The only that flashes is the power button and the exclamation point in orange comes on. I need help. I need the printer.

Hi @Help1223,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're having trouble with your HP printer's Wi-Fi connectivity and it's showing an exclamation mark in orange. Here’s a structured approach to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
Troubleshooting Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues
1. Basic Checks
- Turn off the printer using the power button.Unplug the printer from the power source.
- Wait for 30 seconds, then plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is working properly. Verify that other devices can connect to the network.
2. Printer’s Wireless Settings
- On the printer’s control panel, go to the Wireless or Network settings.
- Look for an option to Restore Network Defaults or Reset Network Settings. This will clear any existing network configurations and allow you to reconnect.
- Access the Wireless Setup Wizard from the printer’s control panel.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select your Wi-Fi network and enter your network password.
3. Printer’s Control Panel Indicators
- Power Button Flashing: Typically, this indicates that the printer is turning on or in a standby state.
- Orange Exclamation Point: This often signifies an error or issue with the printer, such as a problem with the wireless connection.
- Look for any specific error messages or codes on the printer’s display. Refer to the printer’s manual or HP support website for details on how to address these errors.
4. Reinstall or Update Printer Drivers
- Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model.Download and install the latest firmware for your printer.
- On your computer, go to Devices and Printers or Printers & Scanners.
- Remove the printer if it is listed.Reinstall the printer using the latest drivers from the HP Support website.
5. Check Network Configuration
- Ensure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router.Check for any potential network interference or issues with the router.
- Try connecting the printer to a different Wi-Fi network (e.g., a mobile hotspot) to determine if the issue is with your home network.
6. HP Smart App or HP Support
- Download the HP Smart app from the HP Smart website or your device’s app store.
- Use the app to set up and configure your printer’s wireless connection.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
