Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

Printer is HP CM1415fnw. I have a Comcast gateway which has 2.4 and 5.0. Each one has a different SSID. for some reason I can no longer connect to the 5.0 which is the strongest system. Xfinity with Eero to expand the range in my home. When I run the wireless network test report everything is fine except "Security" says fail. Any suggestions?

Hi,

The printer supports 2.4GHz wireless only, it does not support or can be used with a 5GHz wireless network.

For the security issue, assuming you refer to the 2.4GHz wireless, updating the printer firmware would be the first step to take, either with a temporary USB or Ethernet cable connection:

If the same persists, make sure your router is updated with its latest version too and that ti's set with WPA1 / WPA2 Wireless security.
