Hi @PaulDA414,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Switching the Wi-Fi network on your HP printer typically involves accessing the printer's settings through its control panel or web interface. Here are the general steps you can follow to change the Wi-Fi network on your HP printer.
- Access the Printer's Control Panel: On the printer's control panel, look for a button or menu option labeled "Setup," "Settings," or something similar. Press this button to access the printer's settings.
- Navigate to Network Settings: Within the settings menu, look for an option related to "Network," "Wireless," or "Wi-Fi Setup." The exact wording may vary depending on your printer model.
- Select Wi-Fi Setup or Change Network: Once you've found the network settings, look for an option to set up or change the Wi-Fi network connection.
- Choose the New Wi-Fi Network: Your printer will search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select the new Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
- Enter Network Password (if applicable): If the new Wi-Fi network is secured with a password, you'll need to enter the password using the printer's keypad or touch screen.
- Confirm the Connection: After entering the network password, the printer will attempt to connect to the new Wi-Fi network. Once connected, the printer will display a confirmation message.
- Test the Connection: Print a test page or perform any other function to ensure that the printer is successfully connected to the new Wi-Fi network.
If your HP printer has a touchscreen display, the process might be more intuitive, allowing you to navigate through the settings directly on the screen. If your printer supports web-based management, you can also access the printer's settings using a web browser on a computer or mobile device connected to the same network. Simply enter the printer's IP address into the browser's address bar to access the printer's web interface, where you can change the network settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
