Hi @mkotowski,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I understand that you are facing connectivity issues. I’d like to help!

Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only.

Is it a private (Home network) or a public Wi-Fi connection? Wi-Fi direct? Or Hotspot?
What device are you using the printer with a Windows computer, Mac, Android, or iPhone?

Connectivity problems can be frustrating, but let's try some troubleshooting steps to identify and resolve the issue.

  • Restart Printer and Network Equipment: Power off your printer and any network equipment (router, modem) for about 30 seconds. Then, power them back on. Sometimes, a simple reset can fix connectivity problems.
  •
  • Check Network Settings: Ensure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi network and that the network settings on the printer are correct. Check if the printer is set to the correct Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
  •
  • Verify Wired Connections: If you're using a wired connection, make sure the Ethernet cable is securely plugged into both the printer and your network router or switch.
  •
  • Update Printer Firmware: Visit the HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. If there are, follow the instructions to update the printer's firmware. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause connectivity issues.
  •
  • Check Network Security Settings: Ensure that your router is not blocking the printer's MAC address or IP address. Check your router settings to see if there are any restrictions that might prevent the printer from connecting.
  •
  • Disable Firewall/Antivirus Temporarily: Sometimes, security software can interfere with printer connectivity. Temporarily disable your firewall and antivirus software to see if it resolves the issue. If it does, you can then adjust the settings to allow the printer to connect.
  •
  • Factory Reset the Printer: As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your printer. Keep in mind that this will reset all settings on the printer, including network configurations. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
