HP Officejet 5740
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Hi I have HP Officejet 5740 all in one ...print, copy, fax, scan, web. I can no longer scan to email from my printer. I can however scan from my computer to outlook ??? how I got outlook is beyond me, anyway I can't email a document to my email from the scanning glass

I have xfinity comcast.net Agents there tell me the scanning is stopping the connection for some reason,  in going to my comcast email. I never had an issue before my move which was 5-6 months ago. They changed my comcast box to a standing Modem,  Gateway ?  and asked that I remove my own router. All is connected,  printer message says not connected to web services. CAN ANYONE HELP

Web Services, on which ePrint and Scan to Email depends, is apparently down on one or more regions.

The issue has been reported to HP (yesterday).

No, we don't have an ETA or any information.

I am writing as a personal courtesy only.

I don't have any inside information nor any magic to bypass the service.

What to do?

Wait... and try starting Web Services again later.

Update. I was told by Xfinity I need a different router one that has more channels then one , it seems I only have. Going to swap out this morning I will pass on results.

Oh just so all is aware, yahoo.com email works without any problems I can scan to email with that address. It seems I was given the wrong router from xfinity when I moved. We will see later today. Flo

Makes sense.

Not everyone was impacted by the recent Web Services issues but unless one was inside HP, it was not possible to know whether "you" were impacted.  Just a coincidence that you reported your problem at the same time.

Yes, having a more robust routing capability should help.

Good Luck,

Stay Safe.
