Hi @Lluviasarai
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
HP printers cannot store multiple Wi-Fi networks simultaneously. They can only be connected to one wireless network at a time.
Here's how to manage your setup between home and work:
Your Options
1. Switch Wi-Fi Networks Manually
Each time you move the printer:
- Use the Wireless Setup Wizard on the printer’s touchscreen:
- Go to Setup > Network Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard
- Select the new Wi-Fi network and enter the password
- Or use the HP Smart app to reconnect:
- Restore Wi-Fi setup mode by pressing and holding the Wireless + Cancel buttons for 5 seconds until the blue light blinks
- Open the HP Smart app and follow the prompts to connect to the new network
This video walks through both methods: How to reconnect an HP printer to a wireless network
2. Use Wi-Fi Direct (If Available)
Wi-Fi Direct allows printing without a router:
- Enable Wi-Fi Direct on the printer (usually under Wireless Settings)
- Connect your device to the printer’s Wi-Fi Direct network (e.g., HP-Print-xx-OfficeJet)
- Print directly from your device
⚠️ If nothing is printing:
- Ensure the printer is not in sleep mode
- Confirm the document is being sent to the correct printer queue
- Try printing from the HP Smart app or a supported mobile app
3. Use USB or Ethernet at Work
If switching networks is inconvenient:
- Connect the printer via USB or Ethernet at work
- This bypasses Wi-Fi entirely and avoids reconfiguration
