Hello @mrsbizy ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!

First, try these instructions here:

Spoiler

If you're setting up a new router and want to connect your HP device, follow these steps:

  1. Purchase and Install the Router:
  2. Read the instructions provided by the router manufacturer.
  3. Temporarily connect your computer to the router using a network cable. This helps ensure the computer can access the Internet.

  4. Configure the Router:

  5. Open a web browser and enter the router’s IP address (commonly found on the router label or manual).
  6. Log in using the default credentials. These are often found in the router’s documentation.

  7. Set up Network Name and Security:

  8. Change the network name (SSID) to something unique.
  9. Enable wireless security (WPA2 or WPA3) and set a strong network password to protect against unauthorized access.

  10. Connect HP Devices:

  11. Use the HP Smart app or go to 123.hp.com to download the necessary drivers and setup software for your HP printer or PC.
  12. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the devices to the network.

  13. Test Your Connection:

  14. Check if your HP device can access the Internet or print efficiently over the network.

If you need more specific guidance based on the model of your HP device or router, please provide additional details. For securing your network and devices, you can also consult HP support resources available on their website.

If that doesn't help, this information is also available.

I hope that helps. Please send me detailed information (OS, printer name, error message, etc.).

Kind Regards
Andr-1611
