Hi @cn714f60j4

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining the issue clearly. It’s understandably frustrating when essential features like wireless setup and reset options are locked out.

This typically happens when access control settings have been enabled on the printer, either through the Embedded Web Server (EWS) or during initial setup.

Here’s a structured approach to help you regain access:

1. Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

If your printer is still connected to the network:

  • Open a browser on a device connected to the same network.
  • Type the printer’s IP address into the address bar (you can find this on the printer’s control panel under Network Settings > Wireless Summary).
  • Log in to the EWS using the administrator credentials.
  • Navigate to Settings > Security > Administrator Settings.
  • Check if features like Wireless Setup Wizard and Restore Factory Defaults are restricted.
  • Unlock or enable them as needed, then apply changes.

2. Restore Factory Defaults via Control Panel

If the EWS is inaccessible:

  • Swipe down from the top of the printer’s home screen to open the Dashboard.
  • Tap the Setup icon.
  • Go to Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults.
  • If this option is locked, it confirms that restrictions were set during initial configuration.

3. Use HP Smart App for Reconfiguration

  • Download the HP Smart app on a Windows PC or mobile device.
  • Connect via USB if wireless options are disabled.
  • Use the app to reconfigure wireless settings and access advanced setup tools.

Let me know if this helps.
