Hi @sue2271,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP ENVY 6455e Printer with Blinking Yellow Light and Error E!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check for Error Messages
- Check the printer control panel or your computer's screen for specific error messages. There may be a more detailed error code or message that can give you additional clues about the problem.
Inspect for Paper Jams
- Remove Paper Trays: Check any paper trays and remove all paper.
- Open Front and Rear Doors: If your printer has doors to access the rollers, open these and check for jammed paper or scraps.
- Clear Obstructions: Carefully remove any paper or debris.
Check Ink Cartridges
- Open the Ink Access Door: Ensure the ink cartridges are properly seated in their slots.
- Check for Low Ink Levels: Replace any ink cartridges that are low or empty.
- Reinstall Cartridges: Try removing and then reinserting the cartridges to reset them.
Reset the Printer
- Turn Off the Printer: Press the power button to turn off the printer.
- Unplug: Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Wait: Leave it unplugged for about a minute.
- Reconnect and Turn On: Plug the power cord back in and power on the printer.
Wireless Connection
- Ensure your printer is correctly connected to the Wi-Fi network. You can do this by checking the wireless light.
- Reconnect to Wi-Fi if necessary using the HP Smart app on your Windows 11 system.
Update Printer Drivers
- Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed for your Windows 11 system. Visit the HP Support website to download and update the drivers.
I hope this helps.
