HP DeskJet 2822e All-in-One Printer

My printer all of a sudden disconnected from wifi and I cannot get it to connect. Using the app, it finds the printer, I push the information button in, and input my wifi password, but I get an -9 error every time. I have moved my printer closer to my router, I have unplugged it, reset it (pushed the wifi and cancel butter), and restarted my phone. I hooked up the printer via cable to my laptop (and successfully printed a document this way) and ran troubleshooter - so far nothing has helped

I am going to leave this here in case anyone else faces this problem. 

I went to ChatGPT and found the answer to my problem. My router was giving off a 5G signal and this printer does not have the capability to connect to 5G. I realized that my extender (which offers a 2G signal) needed to be reset. Once I reset my extender, the printer was able to reconnect to wifi again. 

 

Hope this helps someone else avoid a late night (as I am currently facing) while trying to print an important document for an early meeting the next morning!
