Hi, I am with Instant Ink. I carry two printers. HP 5258 with a Mac system and  HP 6978 with Windows 11. A few days ago we lost power here at home for about 10 minutes. Don't know if this caused our problem. We discovered that niether of our printers will work. It says on the ON Screen display that it can't connect to the web. I went into the control panel on my 6978 and couldn't see anything obvious. The wifi light on the printer is lit up bright blue. HELP

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

 

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.

 

Also, try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168
