This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Let me know who it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.

This is as far as i can get.  i can not see a show option tab.  I really would like to get this printer working because it has hardly been used and too good to throw away.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

Hi.   Unfortunately your help desk is no use as when they are only available when i am at work.  So  is not away someone can just tell me how to find the customer password.?

I am very disappointed  that a multinational company like  HP are incapable or is it just  they are too big and cant be bothered in help  me to find  a custom password  so i can get into the web interface of my printer to change the settings.  Oh i forgot they did give me a call from the local help desk in the UK. which is no good to me because they are only open while i am at work.  Surly the can email with the instructions.  This is the first and last time i will entertain their products  nor will i recommend them at all, If this is their version of customer back. i'm only left with one option and that is to  dispose of a perfectly good printer.
