Hi @gghhhkkk
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your printer's Wi-Fi capability is no longer available, you can try the following steps to restore it:
1. Restart the Printer:
- Turn off your printer, unplug it for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can refresh the printer’s network settings.
2. Check Wi-Fi Connection:
- Ensure your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly. Check if other devices can connect to the Wi-Fi.
3. Reconfigure Wi-Fi Settings:
- Control Panel:
- Access the printer’s control panel.
- Navigate to the Network or Wireless settings.
- Choose Wireless Setup Wizard (or a similar option) to find and connect to your Wi-Fi network.
4. Use WPS (if available):
- If your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):
- Press the WPS button on your router.
- On the printer, select WPS from the wireless settings menu and follow the prompts to connect.
5. Reset Network Settings:
- If the above steps don’t work, consider resetting the network settings:
- Navigate to Settings > Network or Wireless on the printer’s control panel.
- Look for an option to Restore Network Settings or Reset Network Settings.
6. Reinstall Printer Software:
- If you have the HP Smart app or printer software installed on your computer:
- Open the app and try adding the printer again. This can sometimes refresh the connection.
7. Update Firmware:
- Check if there are firmware updates available for your printer. Visit the HP website for instructions on how to download and install updates.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Ive tried everything but 6 and 7.
3 is not an option because there is no wireless setup option anymore which is the issue. It only says connect cable and we only have wireless. How do we get the wireless set up option back in the menu? I tried resetting default under network and that did nothing.
