Hello Community,
Check these steps:
1️⃣ Restart your printer and computer
- Press the power button on the printer. -Wait a few seconds for the printer to turn off. -Wait a few seconds for the power light on the printer to turn off. -Press and hold the power button on the printer for about 10 seconds. -Release the power button and wait for the printer to turn on. -If the printer does not turn on, repeat the steps starting with step 3. -If the printer still does not turn on, contact HP
2️⃣ Check for printer updates
- Go to "Settings" on your HP printer.
- Select "Security & Maintenance" from the menu.
- Select "Check for Updates."
- If any updates are available, the printer will prompt you to install them. Follow the on-screen instructions.
- If the updates fix the problem, the printer will notify you and you will no longer receive the hp printer error code 0x83c0000a.
- You can find drivers updates, here: HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads
3️⃣ Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Open the HP Print and Scan Doctor software.
- Click on the "Scan" tab.
- Select the HP printer you want to fix.
- Click on the "Start Scan" button.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to fix the HP printer.
4️⃣ Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software
- Open the HP printer software.
- Click on the Device Status tab.
- In the "Status" column, click on the "Protected" tab.
- In the "Protected" column, click on the "Disable" button.
- Click on the "Apply" button to save the changes
☑️ Still not working? maybe try one of these options:
- Clear the printer queue.
- Uninstall and reinstall the printer software.
- Restore your computer to an earlier date.

Hi nelzy69 , sorry to hear that your are getting error codes on your printer. In the error description, do you happen to see the words INK SYSTEM FAILURE? Do you have the printer power cable plugged into a Power Bar or a Power Strip? If so, please plug the power cable direct to a wall outlet. The use of Bars or Strips will not give the printer all the power it needs to function properly seeing that the printer already has a built in surge protector.
Please respond back at your convenience.
Thank you.

I am having the same issue with my envy 4501(error code 0X83C0000A NOSLoaderApp). I am unable to remove ink cartridges because they remain held to the full right of the printer. i have gently tried to move the cartridges but with no luck.
I have removed and reinserted printer/drivers. error code goes away until next time I try to use it, perhaps an hour or even a day later. The machine is quite new, still on the original ink cartridges (both about half full).

Hi cgalbatross,

I see that you are having issue with an Ox8...error code. I would like you to please make sure you have the printer power cable connected to a wall outlet and NOT a power bar/strip. HP printers already have a built in surge protector and if you have it connected to a bar/strip, the printer will not get all the power needed to function properly. This is what usually causes errors on the printer. Here is a document the explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
Please let me know if you require additional assistance.
Thank you

Waterboy,
I am powered by a wall socket. I have no surge protector and have also plugged printer into another outlet (nothing else plugged into outlet) with the same results.
I have removed usb to the pc. I have unplugged power at the printer and waited overnight to reconnect power cord to the printer (no usb connected to pc). After about 10 seconds (normal boot up time) the screen on the envy 4501 comes up with 'error code 0X83C000A NOS_LOADER_APP' I have also tried the same thing with the usb connected to pc with the same results.
Any further suggestions?
i work weird hours and cannot always reply immediately to your responses, but will do my best.

I have done some more research in to the issue that you are having and I have found that a Firmware update is available for your printer. Please click on the following link to download the HP Envy 4500 series firmware update to improve printer performance. Have tried all of the solutions to resolve the error message, and I've even downloaded the firmware as suggested but can't remove the message from the front panel of the 4630 and therefore, cannot load the firmware to the printer . Any suggestions???

Hi QB_5,

I see that you have attempted to do the firmware update with no success seeing that the error will not clear. I see you also stated that you attempted to do the other steps that I have outlined with no results as well. The only thing left to do would be to contact HP Total care at 1-800-474-6836 or you can Contact HP Worldwide if you are outside North America.
I do apologize for the inconvenience on this matter.
Thank you for your time.
