I have the same problem. My 6500 quit printing and I have a bunch of 920XL and 920 in all colors. I hate throwing it away. I'm looking to buy 8600 but those cartridges are not compatible. I have done what others have tried, contacting tech support, but it doesn't seem to be very helpful. Please help me exchange this cartridges.
Thanks,
Jig

I recently had to retire a Photosmart 2410 and purchased a new Office Jet 8600. I have several new cartridges that I would liek to see about exchanging for ones that work with my new printer. Can anyone assist me with the proper procedure to follow. My wife tried talking to support and was not able to get anywhere.
Thanks in advance,
Sean

Hi Sean, so you could either try again with Phone Support, or failing that sell them on eBay.

BTW, recently @sebringgirl donated cartridges to charity and got a tax deduction

Hi ericwilliams425
Best bet is to give HP support a call. Typically they'll want the cartridges to still be in warranty and in their packages. Failing that another option would be to sell them on eBay or something
