Hello.  I am trying to scan a document and I keep getting a message that it is unable to connect to Web services.  I have never had this issue in the past when scanning documents.  My internet connection is good.  Please assist.

Plese send me the instruction on how to make the 7520 printer connect.  The Wireless Network Test Results says it is successful and connected, yet when I try to print, the message says, "Unable to get printer status" and the screen on the printer says, "unable to connect to web services."

Many thanks!

CAN YOU SEND THE FIX TO MY INBOX TOO?

hello?

Why HP should care now that we need their assistance?

The holidays have past, we have already purchased their crap printers that DOT WORK or PARTIALLY FUNCTION and surely, they are laughing with us.

After HP basically abandoned this thread around October, I spent a month sending individual messages with "the fix" to any outstanding requestors.  Then I posted it on the forum, and HP deleted my post within an hour.  A couple of weeks later, another user posted it (message 158), and a couple of weeks ago someone posted it again (message 194).

Just bear in mind that "the fix" is not actually a fix, it does a "semi full reset" on your printer that puts it back to an out of the box state, so if you've made any changes or personalizations to your printer make a note of what they are because you'll be making them again.

This printer has other issues besides this one, and HP just doesn't seem to have any way to fix it, or maybe they don't want to.

It's a great printer, when it works.

The network code seems to have problems though, and the support model sucks for it.

Thank you for respong to this thread dear "rthomponpuy"

I am scared to do at the moment anything with this HP printer as you well mentioned in your post, as HP is not interested at all with us.

Imagine if I/we do something wrong with its settings, trying to fix the problem when all of a sudden i?we create a whole new "booboo" that we shall not have a technical support to go and search.

Conclusion, I rather have this printer a little "mal" working and not go into its "hood" trying to make it work!   (sorry for my bad English)

I checked those postings and only the questions are there. Where do I find the suggested solution? Thanks.

Hi everyone, (HP TECH SUPPORT GAVE ME THIS SOLUTION)

Place your documents you want to scan in the printer feeder or on the glass. Go under "printers and devices" and right click on your printer. Then click "scan" and save the document to your pc. Then use the document as needed (i.e. attach to email)

OK, I give up!!! apparently the 7525 is such a POS that HP doesn't want to support us. I have had issues with Connecting to the web services, which worked but then it didn't, my attempts to fix it have been unsuccessful, I now just take the Docs I need to scan to work and scan it to my email using the Ricoh printer I have at work. This is combined with the maddening habit this printer has of saying it can't print something, then printing it, and the stupid requirement to have to program what type of paper I am using which is an obvious attempt to sell your expensive paper...shame on you!!! So let me tell you you marketing genius' what this has cost you. We are going buy a new all-in-one computer for our home use, 27" screen, it won't be an HP, we are buying a new printer, it will be a Canon. At work we are upgrading our dispatch/coordinators computers because we have just bought a new software program, we will be replacing at least 30 laptops, possibly 50 nationwide, still waiting for the final count from IT. I am involved in the selection process, we had narrowed down the choices to HP or Dell, we made the final choice on Thursday, guess who won the business. We are also replacing/upgrading printers, we have standardized on Ricoh. Wake up HP, your poor service is costing you business. PS: I've also dumped your stock, just like Dow Jones.
