Hello, I followed your initial instructions but the problem is still not fixed. Can you please forward the fix that is working for everyone else. Thanks.

First, is your printer hooked up to your wifi? Also, check www.HPconnected.com to see if your printer is listed under devices with two green check marks next to it. If not, your printer is not connected to the "Web Services." When you reset your printer to the factory default, after setting up the wifi on your printer, you'll need to enable Web Services. In Setup under the Wireless option, select Web Services, select Enable Web Services, then select OK. An information sheet prints that has your printer claim code which you use to add the printer to HPconnected.com.

Did all that and still getting error message. Seems like there is a solution being shared with posters in here but only through their personal inbox; not publicly shared. That's the solution I'm requesting.

Thanks.

Having the same issue as all others with my brand new 7520.  Will print but will not scan to mac pc, although it did when I first connected everything.  After reading all these posts and many others, I too am about to return it and try a different brand.

Went back thru the thread to find this solution that another poster said was the "secret" answer to fixing the connection and as of right now it worked for me.  An hour from now could be a different story.  Stay tuned.......

The "Secret":

I understand your printer is not connected to web services.  . I would first unplug router and printer for about 1 minute.  I would plug router up first then printer. I would then try to enable web services. If not successful and you get same error message. I would follow these steps.

1. Obtain your printer's IP address
a. This can be done by pressing the wireless icon on printer.
2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.
3. Select the network tab at the top of the page.
4. On the left select networking.
5. Select Network Address (IP)
6. Select Manual DNS Server
a. Manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8
b. Alternate DNS Server should read. 8.8.4.4
7. Select apply you might get a warning just select okay.

Same problem. Unable to connect to web services. Thanks,

I'm having the same problem.  Internet connection is fine but will not connect to web services.  I tried the 7 steps mentioned but when I click on "Networking" it says "Authentication Required" asking for a User Name and Password. What user name and password?

Any help is appreciated.
