My printer has recently started displaying an "Ink System Failure" Error: 0xc19a0035 message. This prevents it from printing, scanning, copying or faxing. Restarting the printer (remove power, leave for 60 seconds, switch back on) clears the problem but after a few minutes the message reappears again.
From the HP Solution Center I followed the instuctions on the hp site for correcting the problem but they did not work.
My printer has the latest drivers and works fine when it's printing. I ran the Self Test Diagnostic and this produces excellent quality output. However a few minutes after powering up the printer I get the Ink System Failure message.
It's great when it's working but becoming a real nuisance having to switch it off, then back on again simply to print a document.
Any help/ advice would be appreciated.

Ink System Failure with 0x... errors will usually occur when you have issues with your printheads or ink cartridges. If one of these are not working or is not functioning well, you will get Ink system failure errors that will not dissappear even turning off the printer for a week...I have tried that. After all the phone calls for tech support and friends advice, I was able to get my hp c7200 working again. I refer to this site for the hardware reset and troubleshooting, Ink system failure. There's a lot of remove-insert and turning off-on that was done during the troubleshooting but it paid all my hardwork. Thanks to all the people in the internet, let's continue helping each other. 🙂

I would love to know what article you are referring to that helped you solve this issue.....it's a very frustrating problem to have but you hate to just replace the printer if there is a fix!! Thanks, milkmaid6454

To do a hard reset:
1. With the printer plugged directly into a wall outlet, and turned on, unplug the cord from the rear of the printer.
2. Then unplug the cord from the wall socket.
3. Wait at least 30-60 seconds
4. Plug the power cord back into the wall socket first. If the cord has a module in it, make sure that the light on the module is lit up and then plug cord back into the rear of the printer
5. The printer should power back on by itself, but if not use the power button on front panel to turn machine back on.

Thanks for your reply. I Removed the total HP software from my computer and downloaded the latest version from the HP website.
The printer seems to be working ok at the moment so that may be the solution to this problem
