The HP Support Assistant icon on my task bar has a yellow triangle.  When I open the Support Assistant, I see three messages.

One message is about an out of paper issue and paper feed problem for my printer, the second one is about HP Printers cannot send or receive faxes, and the third is about fax sending failures.  All of the messages have been read and then I click on the garbage can icon to delete the message.  I receive a message stating that I have no messages, but the yellow triangle doesn't go away.  I close the Support Assistant, and the yellow triange still doesn't go away.  The next time I open the Support Assistant the same three messages are there again.  How do I get rid of these messages other than uninstalling the Support Assistant?

I'm not experiencing the problems mentioned in the messages.  I sent a fax this afternoon without any problems.

Have you followed the steps below?

Can you see the X symbol as described? (as you description seems different than described by the artice)

Do you have the latest HP Support Assistant version installed?

I've Installed the latest version of Hp Support Assistant.  I haven't received any messages since installing the latest version, so I cannot test the delete function.  I'll assume this will fix the delete issue.  Thanks for your help and quick reply.

It sounds like you have the same problem as I had.  It appears that I had an old version of HP Support Assistant.  I suggest you install the latest version of HP Support Assistant.

Well I guess the new version isn't the solution because three days later and the problem has returned.  I'm using version 8.3.27.17 of the Hp Support Assistant, and it shows Framework: 12.5.26.37 and Configuration Files: 8.0.6294.2155.  I still see the garbage cans next to the messages.  I tried the Remind Me using Tomorrow as the option, and 5-10 minutes later the messages were back.  Support Assistant says I have the latest version.  Not sure what is causing the issue.  For now I'll just ignore the yellow triangle, and if it starts to bother me, I'll uninstall the Support Assistant.

Im having the same EXACT problem.  I have the same software version (the latest) and I can not get the stupid HP Support messages to delete within their program,  They just come back and I have a constant yellow flag on the tray icon all the time.

I'm at the point where I'm considering uninstalling the software to remove it.  If HP can't fix this, there is no reason for me to have it running on my machine.

Yes... I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software and cleared the machine.  IT keeps happening and is annoying.

Same problem for me.

The HP Support Assistant keeps showing an error about a page feed on my HP Printer. The error was cleared months ago but I can't get the Support Assistant to stop bugging me about it. Every month, the errors return. I select the trash can icon and they go away, only to return the next time. I am running the latest version and also uninstalled/reinstalled the SW but the problem persists.
