OK. Going to try this again. When I was setting up my 8600, I had to enter a "printer name" and password. I remembered the password, but not name. How do I recover this or clear the NVRAM on this printer? Now I need to set up scan to email and I get the above error message. I need this for my business. I fear that before too long, i will have no recourse but to return this printer for a refund or exchange for a non HP product (I have a Lexmark at work and it is infinately easier than this). Thanks for any replies.

Hi Everyone,
Restore the network default settings on your product
- From the home screen on the product control panel, touch the Right Arrow (
), and then touch Setup . The Setup menu displays.
- Touch Network . The Network menu displays.
- Touch the Down Arrow (
), and then touch Restore Network Defaults .
- Touch Yes to confirm your selection. The network default settings are restored on your product.Let me know if you are able to access the EWS page?

Make sure to write down the information when you set the security password and user name in the EWS for future reference.

PCWIZARD...that did it! Thanks a lot. I am still getting the error message but it must be because I have to set up a network on my home system or something. It allows me to email out to entered email addresses which is one of the problems I was experiencing before. Again...thanks!
