Hi FDOliveira,

Please provide the additional information below.

Have you tried using a new Ethernet cable from the printer to the router?

What is the make and model of the router you are using?

When you have the Ethernet cable plugged into the printer do you see the activity lights (Lights are Amber green & yellow)?

If you plug the Ethernet cable directly from the printer to your network card on your computer do you experience the same issue?

I called HP in Denmark and finally after a long long long... (etc.) discussion they agreed to replace my printer with another refurbished one.

This worked well, and now I wil leave the firmware untouched.

Over and out from here.

Hi PCWizard,

    Below answer your questions:

Q: Have you tried using a new Ethernet cable from the printer to the router?

A: I tried three different cables and the problem still persist.

Q: What is the make and model of the router you are using?

A: It's a TPLINK model TL-WR841ND

Q: When you have the Ethernet cable plugged into the printer do you see the activity lights (Lights are Amber green & yellow)?

A: Yes, the green light is on and blinks the yellow until the printer reboot.

Q: If you plug the Ethernet cable directly from the printer to your network card on your computer do you experience the same issue?

A: When I plug the printer on my PC the printer concludes the initialization but I can't use it, it's still unavailable on network, I changed the printer config to Manual IP 192.168.0.99 and put my PC on 192.168.0.100 and I can't ping the printer.

Hi all,

After calling HP support in Sweden (where I am) at 0771204765 it took about ten minutes before they said they were going to send me a new printer (or a refurbished one). It seemed as if they were aware of the problem with this model.

Good luck to you all!

Alfred
