Hi netsnote,

If you plug a USB thumbdrive into the USB ports on the computer does it work?

Have you tried a different USB cable?

What happens if you plug the printer into a different computer?

P.S.  When I orignally installed printer (2009) I did not use the wireless setup - nor do I want it now.  There's a blue light in the front panel, constantly blinking.  I also have a router, primarily for my son's laptop. Could the blinking light and/or router have something to do with not being able to connect printer?

Hi netsnote,

No, the wireless light would not have anything to do with the communication issue on USB. Look forward to your update.

Good Morning PZWizard,

USB ports work fine. USB cable is okay as I'm able to print. I didn't plug printer into another computer (there wasn't one around).

I think I've messed things up moreso because I disabled/enabled  services and startup ("msconfig) My printer is on but the touch screen no longer lights up. Ran a scan disk - results: no errors. Computer runs extremely slower.  At least I can print (for now) :generic:  You'll probably be hearing from me again....

Thanks so much!

Hi netsnote,

The screen would have nothing to do with you making changes to your msconfig setup. Have you power cycled the printer to see if the screen starts working again?
