Hi Netsnote,

No problem that is what i am here to assist where i can. If you continue to have issues with the display you may want to call support to see if they can assist with the hardware issue. Let me know if Win 7 helps you out on this issue.

hi i'm trying to install a 1022n printer and cannot get past the screen 'installing waiting for user to connect to device'.  I have tried all of the usb ports and a new cable to no avail.  I have also tried this on 2 different windows 7 64 bit laptops. Please help!?!

And the printer isn't connected to computer until screen tells you to do so, right? Is the program loading onto your computer? Are there missing components?  Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software?

Still no luck:

i put the install CD into my 64 bit windows 7 pc and install the software.  it then extracts and asks me to plug in the printer.  I do this and then get a message in a pop-up box saying:

USB Prinitng Support   Ready to use

Hewlett-Packard Ho LaserJet 1022n No driver found

I have tried this on my home laptop and my wife's work machine and we get the same response AARGHHHH
