Install continues on, till it's time to connect the usb ports. There is no recognition of the usb installed of the computer to the printer. I have tried tons of stuff : installed, uninstalled programs several times, from hp site, and from my cd.... unplugged, printer from outlet, etc., unplugged ubs cable over and over again, etc.etc. nothing is working... I really need to print important documents... is the worst timing for this to happen... the printer is 2 years old, and was working just fine till the other day...! Please advise... Thanks...

Thanks! Worked great. I had reinstalled the printer drivers but neglected to first uninstall the old drivers. I just assumed they would be overwritten.
Obviously I was wrong. I did not run System Cleanup after the uninstall; I'll do that if it craps out again.

I have a new P1102w printer. I am running Windows 10 on a 1 year old Lenovo Think Pad Edge
I am trying to configure the printer for wifi use.
I printed a page via a USB cable successfully, but when I am trying to configure the printer and the software asks me to connect the USB cable there isn no response. I get the message "Waiting for you to connect the device."
