Only thing that eventually got it working was to set my router to use "WPA-PSK" only. Anything else, including setting it to negotiate the highest level security protocol that the device can use, did not work.

Which means of course that my wifi is pretty much wide-open now, since anyone can hack into WPA with off the shelf tools in about 30 seconds or less.

OUT OF THE CLEAR BLUE this decides it wants a PASSPHRASE this is sooooo crazy!  I cannot figure this PASSPHRASE and need to print .

Awesome.  I didn't need the back arrow deal, but changing to WPA took care of it.  Thanks!

WRONG as always!

My DMP 110 phontosmart was working great until we switched from direct TV to Spectrum.  Which we had beforfe the Direct TV.  It will now not recognize the passphrase.

None of the previously mentioned fixes fix it.

Of course my toolbox can't connect to it because it is not on the network.

What now?

Passphrase not accepted. Is that right?

This seems to be an issue with the router.

But again, are there any other devices connecting to the same network using the same passphrase?

If yes, try creating a new passphrase and try again to connect to the network.

Hope this helps. Let me know for more.

Happy posting.

I don't know how to change the password as it was set up by Time Warner.

My phone, ipad mini, my wife's phone and the tv all connect to the router using this same passphrase.  Why is the printer being so difficult.

I have tried the:

restore default,

input the first letter, backspace and retry.  (It correctly puts the first letter in its proper space),

using the wps button on the router.

When I do the first searce for wireless routers, it finds the network so I proceed on to entering the password,

it then tries to connect, but I keep getting the error message.

Hi@Les_Strawn,

I thank you for the reply.

Then, I request you to call you Internet service provider to have it reset and change the password of the network to check if that helps the printer to connect to the network.

Hope this helps. Happy posting.

I have the M225dw, I received a new modem from Time Warner Cable and everything but my printer connected.

I tried everything in this forum and the only thing that worked was to change my router from WPA2 to WPA.  This is not an accepatable fix, WPA is not secure.  Is there another way to fix the printer to work with WPA2?

Hi@pparch,

Thanks for the reply.

I recommend you to try a firmware update and check if that allows you to use WPA2 key for wireless network configuration of the painter.

Use the link below to select the correct operating system and download the correct firmware.
