Hi slewicha

If you have the C6830 printer, refer to step three here for how to clean the contacts.

If it's the d110 printer, the link below will help

Kind Regards

I have a C4750 Photosmart.   The thing that makes no sense is that I have used the Costco refilled cartridge for about two months with no problem.    What do you use to clean the sensors or whatever you want to call them..

Thanks and have a great day.

Hi slewicha

For the PS C4750, the doc below should help

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01675471

You can use a clean foam rubber swab or lint-free cloth to clean the contacts.

You've mentioned that you're using refills. Note that the print quality and reliability isn't always as good as originals. More info in these links:

Boutght printer from France, had cartrages with 300 on them. Got it back to states and ran out of ink. I called and asked the teck to help me reset the region codes. he said that I would need to wait for a call back from a lvl2 tech. I waited 6 hours and called them back and referenced my ticket number. The tech said that since I purchased it in france I would need to call the number on the recipt for the purchase. Why would I have a recipt for this item? why would I call some french guy. Would tech support really not be able to reset these codes since it was from france? Needless to say I have two brand new ink cartrages and cant use them. They are garbage now because I will never for the rest of my life buy a product, where tech support tries to sell me a bunch of non truths and tries to snake out of a call. HP is not for me.

You need to have a bit of patience.  The first level agents may not have access to the reset procedure which is tightly controlled.  You will not need to call France, the agents you get from calling 1-800-HPINVENt in the US should be able to resolve your issue.

You will need to Contact HP to request a "Regionalization Reset". There should not be any charge for this, it is covered as part of the cartridge warranty. You will need to have access to your computer and printer while on the line with HP. You will also need to have a set of cartridges for the new region, once the reset is complete cartridges from the original region will no longer work.  HP's web page on the subject is here.

What do I do if the HP printer displays "cartridge incompatible with computer", when it has always been ok and I haven't changed anything?  This message just suddenly appeared and now I can't print anything.  Do I need a new printer?

Please read this post then provide some details.  What printer model? What operating system? How is the printer connected - USB, wired LAN, Wireless LAN, bluetooth? Cleaning the cartridge and printer contacts as shown here may help resolve the issue.

Hi there!. I just bought a HP Photosmart C310b two days ago. The first time i bought, the carriage for the cartridge was jammed so they exchange a new one to me.

During the testing of the new printer which was yesterday, i asked him to change the language from Russian to English as i'm just a student here in Moscow (not so fluent in Russian Language).

Then,  back home I'm having the same problem as the subject above when i turned on the printer. On the screen, it said that the "cartridges listed above are not intended for use in this printer as it is configured." This problem only occured to photo cartridge. The others are detected and functioning well. As this problem occur, i can't initiate the setup of my printer.

Any help would be very grateful. Thanks. 🙂
