I just tried that and, yes, it copied properly (did not cut anything off).

Hi nedamirakl,

Thank you for trying that for me, now we know that the printer's hardware is working properly. This means, the problem definitely is with Microsoft Office. Especially with the fact that it can print the full image from Paint. At this point, the best that I can offer you is to contact, Microsoft Office Support.

Hope this clears things up for you! :generic:

But it worked fine with my old printer.  THere has to be something with the new printer causing it to do this.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post serial numbers and case details.

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, this post has instructions

Thank you.  I appreciate it.

Somewhere in this forum I have posted the same question. I only add to what I said before is that sometimes an image pasted into WORD prints just fine with the 8620 and sometimes the bottom and the right side are cut off.

4x6 photos print fine. Text prints fine (in WORD and PowerPoint).

As others have said, this procedure (pasting an image) worked fine with previous printers (a CANON). If the "approriate team within HP" has a solution, I too would love to hear about it.

I use Windows 7.

I recently bought a HP8620.  i have the same problem with Word 2010 not printing the entire image copied and pasted using PrintScreen.  Excel 2010 will print the entire image.  There were no problems printing pasted images on my prior printer (HP6480).  I use Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.

I have tried the solutions listed above.  Has  a fix been found?

Hi @SteveWood48,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

If Microsoft Excel is printing the image but not Word, their must be some setting that needs to be changed in Word. I would recommend to try contacting Microsoft Office Support.

Best of luck! :generic:

This isn't a fix, but a work around provided by HP Tech in a phone call.  I downloaded the printer driver for model 9800 and maintain both drivers in my printer selection.  When I want to print from a copy and paste, that is the "printer" I  select from the printer choices.  So far it has worked fine -- no cutting off parts of the image.  For normal printing, I choose the 8620

Surely glad that HP Tech has now come to acknowledge that the problem is on their end, not with others. Glad for a 'work around.' I am satisfied with the reduced size of the icons on Windows 7 as a work around I learned from someone else.
