Hi guys,

I am also having problems with my HP C8180 all in one. Turns itself on and off. Sometimes get error code B3E30450. Had a warning to shut down with all lights flashing with error code B0379D8D previous to this. Screen now displays MFG mode and " do not ship unit in its current state "  Can still print from PC. Would appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Hi pcwizard,

Do not have Settings option on the printer. Preferences option is on language, region, etc. Restore Factory Defaults is under the Tools option on printer. Have already restored to defaults prior to posting having read earlier part of this thread. Also when printer seems to turn itself on after I turn it off, a black & white lined grid appears on the printer touchscreen.  Think it is only powered on at this point as PC screen describes it as "offline" rather than "Ready"

Thanks

Hi guys,

My HP Photosmart C8180 has developed another fault by the look of things.  A code of 83C00020 is showing on the touchscreen and the ON button is blinking. No other functions working. Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi pcwizard

Having read through the forums, tried this already but got no joy. Also tried another forum possibility by pressing Red Eye Removal + On button simultaneously, which has cleared 83C00020. However, printer has now turned somewhat unreliable. Sometimes turns itself on and off. LightScribe also activates and blinks after power switched on. Have had a few warnings to use On button to switch off printer to avoid damage also. Seen this warning in the past. Never know what to expect! Printer still  operative if I can get to the printer preparation cycle
