Here are some common issues we’ve seen in the reviews and potential solutions. If you are still experiencing issues, please let us know either here in the forum or email us directly at HPSmartmac@hp.com.

If you are having problems with the app at start-up, please exit and uninstall the app, then re-install it from https://123.hp.com/

Uninstall the app:
1. Click on the Finder then from the tool bar select Go then Applications.  Locate HP Smart in Applications then drag HP Smart icon into the Trash.

Re-install from https://123.hp.com/:
1) Open Safari, enter the URL https://123.hp.com/ then enter in the model name of your printer then hit Search. Click on the Download button.
2) You should see a HPSmart.PKG file download into your Downloads folder.   Double click on the HPSmart.PKG file to launch the installer and follow the prompts to install and launch HP Smart app.

For scan issues:
• See the Scan section in the support document above.
• Please contact us here on the HP Support Forum or directly by email (HPSmartmac@hp.com). Please include the model name of your printer, connectivity type (network or USB) and operating system country and language
