HP ENVY 6020e All-in-One Printer

0 error code is constantly showing, printer light is purple, all top and bottom lights on, except WiFi.

I've changed both cartridges, wasting a lot of ink. No joy.

I've tried to factory reset, no joy.

I've tried starting WiFi setup again, I get the message that my phone cannot connect to the printer (it has Bluetooth and WiFi on).

I'm about to throw the printer out the window! Please, can anyone help?

Hi @Purplenaartjie,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating printer issues can be, but let's try to troubleshoot the problem before resorting to drastic measures. Here are some steps you can take to address the issue with your HP ENVY 6020e All-In-One Printer.

  1. Check for Firmware Updates: Make sure your printer has the latest firmware. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP website. Follow the instructions provided by HP to update your printer's firmware.

  2. Check Connectivity:

    • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to the Wi-Fi network.
    • Check if there are any issues with your Wi-Fi network. You may want to restart your router and try connecting the printer again.
  3. Reset Network Settings:

    • On the printer's control panel, go to "Setup."
    • Navigate to "Network" or "Wireless" settings.
    • Look for an option to reset network settings or reconnect to the network.
  4. Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions:

    • Make sure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer. Even a small piece of paper stuck in the printer can cause errors.
  5. Perform a Hard Reset:

    • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
    • Wait for a few minutes and then plug it back in.
    • Turn on the printer and check if the issue persists.
  6. Check Ink Cartridges:

    • Ensure that the ink cartridges are correctly installed and have been removed from their packaging.
    • Check if there's any protective tape left on the cartridges that needs to be removed before installation.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
