Hi

I have suddenly had the above error (0X83C0000A NOS_LOADER_APP) appearing on my printer. I have removed power leads and various mentioned resets and fixes but no joy. I cannot connect the printer via network or USB to try a firmware update. When printer tries to start it never gets to the Menu screen just throws up the error message and can not go any further.

I used printer yesterday and it was fine.

Help really appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

I don't get as far as the display menu, as the error code shows up before. Is there a way to do a hard reset of the printer without the display menu? I have tried starting it and holding down both the power and the wireless button at the same time, as I've read that as a suggestion, but didn't work for me.

Thanks

Hi

I managed to clear the error message. I'm not sure exactly how but went through many times removing power lead and also keeping random buttons held down. I think holding the help button (?) was the one that eventually brought it back to life.

Hope this helps someone.

Hi

OK thought I had fixed the issue but today the error has returned. So about to once again spend ages re starting and holding random buttons down in the hope it will spring back to life. It's annoying as there must be a definitive HP answer out there,  but I haven't found one and am just finding many many random solutions.

Thanks

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting errors on the printer display and you have tried multiple troubleshooting steps.

Did you update the printer firmware?

If not, follow these steps to update the printer.

  1. Make sure the printer is on and connected to your computer.

  2. Go to HP Software and Driver Downloads, and then enter your printer model.

  3. Select Firmware from the list of drivers, click Download next to the update, and then follow the instructions.

    NOTE:

If you do not see a firmware option, there are no firmware updates for your printer.

  4. On the HP Printer Update screen, check the status of your printer.

If your network printer does not display, use a USB cable to temporarily connect your printer to the computer. Wait 20 seconds, and then click Refresh.

    Printer firmware status showing Ready

    • If the status is Ready, select the check box next to the serial number, and then click Update.

      CAUTION:

Do not turn off the printer during a firmware update. This can permanently damage your printer.

    • If the status is Up-to-Date, your printer firmware is up to date.
