HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 All-in-One Printer
macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Hi - A week ago my HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 printer (T0F29A) was running perfectly. Two days ago on the morning of January 1st I went to print a document and got an error that there was a paper jam. I inspected the printer thoroughly and there was no paper jam. Since then have been getting a Printer Failure error with code 0x6100004a telling me to contact HP and I'm unable to do anything with the printer. Have turned the printer off multiple times (note: printer keeps telling me I didn't turn off via the power button even though I do), and removed plug from wall several times. I'm unable to try removing the print cartridges though because the carriage does not move to center and seems stuck in place when I try to move it manually. Please advise. Thanks

After 48 hours with no response from HP I tried the recommendation in this YouTube video:

I accessed the hidden menu and selected Resets Menu --> Semi-Full Reset. The printer shut off, I waited about a minute before turning it back on, and after a couple of minutes of clicking and buzzing and then resetting preferences, the error was gone and I was back in business.
