Hello!
We are considering buying Printer HP All in one Officejet Pro 7740 A3 G5J38A Color.
We noticed that there are 2 trays on the printer, and we would like to know if it is possoble to have A4 paper in one tray, and A3 in the other, so that we dont have to manually change the paper in the feeder each time we print.
We would like to be able to chose from our computer which tray to print from as in a copier, or even better have it programmed o chose automatically which tray to print from just by chosing the size of the paper.
Please let us know if this is possible, and if its easy to use the feature.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
The answer is yes, the printer include 2 different trays for that exact purpose.
You may set a specific size for each tray, then when you set a paper size and select the specific paper size for your print driver the trays will be used accordingly.
You do have some settings to perform, but once configuring the driver once by creating Printing shortcuts for that purpose, you may then only need to change the shortcut for the specific paper size.

Thanks a lot!
Just proceeded and it works great.
Really easy to install, using tray 1 for A4 and tray 2 for A3, and it choses which tray to use automatically, according to the size of paper I chose to print from my pc basic print dialog box.
Such a big relief not having to manually switch paper!
And it prints great too
