Deskjet 3055A
A new black cartridge XL301 (CH563E) is not recognized by the printer (Deskjet 3055A). I bought this cartridge (to be ready when I'm out-of-ink) in advance in May/2017. The expire date is 2019/01/08. I tried to use the cartridge as soon as I opened the package.
I tried cleaning contacts, resetting printer, as reported in the document https://support.hp.com/it-it/document/c02440000.

If I put on the old and exhausted cartridge, no error, but obviously 'white' printing (there is no ink).

It is too late for refund by the seller.

Any suggestion on how to solve this? It is very annoying to throw a cartridge that costs half a new printer.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You should return to the reseller, as you said the cartridge warranty is valid till 2019/01/08.

The cartridge is covered with a limited warranty and should be sent by the retailer to HP which will, at HP's option, either replace products under warranty that prove to be defective or refund the purchase price:
