For some reason - tried again today - in preferences I selected A4, Photo paper, Best and Bordlerless and instead of a yellow triangle next to the Borderless "on" setting it allowed me to select "on" without an issue. And printed no problem. So a bit of a strange one. Perhaps updated driver? No idea.

Hi,
The printer do support borderless printing on A4 as clearly listed by its specifications:
http://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=K4T99B&opt=BEV&sel=PRN
Borderless printing - Yes, up to 210 x 297 mm (A4)
What paper type do you use?
Borderless printing is supported on Photo Paper only, not on Plain Paper..
You may find its user guide below:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04649694
Borderless Printing: Select this feature to print photos without border. Not all paper types support this feature. You will see an alert icon be side the option if the selected paper type in the Media drop-down list does not support it.

Thanks. BORDERLESS PHOTO A4 printing doesn't seem to be provided - IE ON PHOTO PAPER. Really odd. I guess I could try the Borderless A4 printing on plain paper... I'll have another play.
Your link also says... (whether relevant or not)... I am very confused and have wasted 20 pages of photo paper so far...
Print Area
Maximum print area 216 x 355 mm
Bottom margin (A4) 3 mm
Left margin (A4) 3 mm
Right margin (A4) 3 mm
Top margin (A4) 3 mm
