I've had numerous issues with this disaster of a printer. I've tried every fix I can find online but none seem to work. I currently have an exclamation point and a sent letter icon blinking.

Hi @lousyprinter1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand that you're experiencing issues with your HP 4133e printer after changing the ink cartridge, and you're seeing multiple blinking errors. Let's try to troubleshoot the problem. Here are some steps you can follow.

Check the Ink Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed. Open the printer cover and make sure each cartridge is securely in place.
  • Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges one by one to ensure they are properly seated.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Look for any paper jams or obstructions in the paper path. Remove any stuck paper carefully.
  • Make sure that there is no residual paper or foreign objects in the printer.

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 1-2 minutes, then plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Check if the blinking errors persist.

Update Firmware/Software:

  • Visit the official HP support website and check for any firmware or software updates for your printer model.
  • If updates are available, download and install them according to the provided instructions.

Check for Error Messages:

  • Look at the printer display or the computer screen for any specific error messages. These messages can provide valuable information about the issue.

Perform a Printer Self-Test:

  • Print a self-test page to check if the printer itself is functioning correctly.
  • Refer to your printer manual or online resources for instructions on how to perform a self-test.

Check Ink Levels:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges have sufficient ink. Some printers may not function if the ink levels are too low.

Inspect for Hardware Issues:

  • Examine the printer for any visible hardware issues, such as broken parts or loose connections.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
