HP DeskJet 4152e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

When the printer is on and connected to my wifi network, the power button light is white and the wifi light is blue.   The moment after i choose to print anything all the lights blink except the wifi and nothing prints.  If I press the power button, the printer resets, the lights go out and come back on.  Then the print job prints.  What is wrong???

  • Download and install the latest firmware from the HP Support website.
  • Restart your printer and computer after updating.

2. Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults

  • Unplug the power cord while the printer is on.
  • Wait 60 seconds, then press and hold the WiFi and Cancel (X) buttons while plugging the power cord back in.
  • Continue holding the buttons for about 10-15 seconds until the printer resets.

3. Reinstall the Printer Drivers

  • Uninstall the printer from Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Remove HP Smart and any HP-related software from Control Panel > Programs and Features.
  • Restart your PC.
  • Download and reinstall the latest drivers and HP Smart from the HP website.

4. Disable SNMP in Printer Settings

  • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your printer and select Printer Properties.
  • Go to the Ports tab, click Configure Port, and uncheck SNMP Status Enabled.
  • Click OK and Apply.

5. Change Print Spooler Settings

  • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Find Print Spooler, right-click it, and choose Properties.
  • Set Startup Type to Automatic, then click Stop and Start the service.
  • Apply and close.

6. Try a Different Connection Method

  • If you're using WiFi, try connecting via USB or WiFi Direct.
  • If the issue only happens on WiFi, reset your router and reconnect the printer.

Let me know if this helps or if the issue persists!

I hope this helps.

Thank you  My HP Smart is checked to accept all firmware and drivers auto update, so this was OK.

By defaulting the printer back to HP defaults it cured the problem.  Thak you for your help
